GORRO PATRÓN DE COLOR MAMI . SLOUCHY BEANIE NOT SO SLOUCHY WITH MAMI COLOUR PATTERN

Costuril que te vi que me he hecho un gorro. Mi primera prenda de ganchillo, chispas. Los colores no los he elegido yo, sino que estaban el el momento adecuado, en el lugar adecuado -de mi casa, jeje-. Así que son ellos los que han elegido a mi gorro.

I made me a beanie this time. My first one ever. The two colours I used, chose my beanie by themselves, as they were in my home, in the right place, at the right moment, haha.

Cuando era pequeña, en pretecnología, en el cole, aprendí el punto alto y el punto bajo, y pensé que el ganchillo era lo mío, pues es facilísimo: sólo con mirar el pañito de ganchillo, ya sabes casi cómo hacerlo. Pero ojo, sólo con los que no son circulares: los redondos eran palabras mayores y no debía ni intentarlo. Este verano me dio por ahí, y me hice unos pendientes, un anillo, una pulsera… todos de ganchillo del redondo!. Esta vez iba a intentar un gorro.

When I was a child, we had a subject were I learned the basic crochet stitches. I though it was the easiest thing: just having a look at any crochet stuff, it is very simple to figure out how it was made. Round crochet was a different thing, tho. I was told I shouldn’t even try it. But last summer, I had a go, and I made me some earrings, rings, and bracelets. All of them round, so I thought it was time to try a beanie.

Estuve busca que te busca, y encontré este supergorro que me encantó. El mío no se parece en nada, lo sé, pero no importa, porque el mío me lo puedo poner también en plan boina del pueblo, jeje.

I was searching like crazy on the internet, till I found this very slouchy beanie. It was love at first sight -because of its “slouchyness”-, but it turned out to be not that slouchy... (I still wonder what did I do wrong…). Anyway, it doesn’t matter, I still love it, and I also can use it to have coffee with the old men of my village, haha. Fancy style for sure!.

Lo que más me gusta de mi gorro, es el ¨patrón de color mami¨, que consiste en empezar con un color, y tejer con él, hasta que alguno de tus pishiosos te necesita. Entonces, cuando vuelves a coger la labor, cambias al otro color. Si te pilla en medio de una vuelta, pues mejor que mejor, jaja. Es como si este gorro fuese una instantánea de ese momento de mi vida en el que lo hice. Se puede ver que hubo alguna siesta más larga, zonas con varias interrupciones, etc. Me encanta la idea de que el hecho de ser mamá sea lo que dicta cómo es el patrón de color de lo que he tejido. Que sea la vida y la maternidad lo que determina cuánto hay de cada color, y dónde. Tengo pensado probar con más variables, como por ejemplo, un color para cuando he hecho algo por la noche, yo sola, y otro para las siestas, otro para cuando tejo mientras estoy con ellos (este ni de broma lo voy a conseguir utilizar, jaja), o probarlo también con telas y costuras.

Y nada más, a ver si veo más gorros para el gélido invierno (aunque aquí estemos en verano me solidarizo), en el MiMi de esta semana.

My favourite thing about my hat, is its “Mami colour pattern”, which means starting using one colour, till any of your kids needs you. Then, when you continue, you start with the other colour, and so on, and so on. If you have to change colours in the middle of a round, just do it, haha. 

This hat will be always for me a memory of this time of my life. It can be seen that I enjoyed some long naps (a miracle!!), there are also areas with some interruptions, etc. I really love how being a mum is what rules the colour pattern of this hat. The life, the maternity, my kids. 

I reckon I will try some other things, like using a colour when I crochet at night time, another when they are  fast asleep, and another one for nap time (if they ever have one), or perhaps, another one when I crochet while they play (although I think I won’t use this very often, haha), or maybe I can try this mami pattern when sewing, with fabrics and threats.
